Site Manager - Sports Centres
A well established regional contractor are looking to appoint a number of Site Manager's to work on various small works projects ranging from £50k - £250k in the North West region.
Due to being awarded a multi million pound 4 year framework agreement, this dynamic regional contractor seek to appoint a number of temporary Site Manager's to oversee a number of Sports Centre refurbishment contracts. Projects will include extensions, refurbishment of gymnasiums, changing rooms, fit outs, etc.
This will initially be a temporary role which will be ongoing and may also have the potential for turning into a permanent position for the right individual.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager your duties will include:
1. Reading and understanding specifications and drawings, prelims, preambles and contract documentation
2. Manage the requisition and delivery of materials
3. Liaising with subcontractors, issuing short term programmes and monitoring their works
4. Liaising with the local authority and English Heritage
5. Holding regular progress meetings
6. Ensure programme deadlines are met
7. Ensure correct quantity and quality of labour is available on site with correct PPE and certification
8. Liaising with the design team, clients and suppliers
9. Attending monthly cost meeting
10. Ensure full compliance of all H&S policy and procedures, obtain relevant risk assessments and method statements
The successful candidate MUST have a proven track record working on a range of leisure projects up to the value of £1 million.
It is also essential that you hold a valid SMSTS and First Aid Certificate and also a CSCS Supervisory or Management card.
In return for your skills you will be offered an hourly rate of £16.
