Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Maintenance Contractor
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a well established maintenance contractor based in North Yorkshire. My client specialise in a wide variety of contracts from measured term, planned maintenance, refurbishment projects up to £500k in value and four to five year frameworks and partnership agreements up to £15m. Therefore, this would suit an Estimator/Surveyor with experience working for a regional construction / maintenance company used to working on a range of tenders from £50k to £10m. The company operates within a number of industries including social housing, commercial, leisure and the public sector.
Estimating duties:
" Undertake the preparation and processing of quotations, bids and tenders
" Prepare Supplier and Subcontractor enquiries, scrutinise quotations and undertake selection process
" Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors proposal documents to support bids
" Assist in the development of the procurement programme
" Prepare cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
" Liaise with the Client, their Consultants, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Operational Offices to establish the project specification, preliminary requirements, risk provision and exclusions
" Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers
" Ensure all contract documentation is representative of offer and reports, cost data and supporting information is accurate and made available at the appropriate time
Quantity Surveying duties:
" Undertake surveying duties on contracts as directed by and reporting to the Area Manager including site measurement, managing subcontractor packages and payments, material scheduling and ordering, applications for payment, pricing variations and settlement of accounts with clients
" Production of profit & loss reports on contracts.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working on planned maintenance and/or social housing contracts estimating for a variety of framework and partnering agreements.
In return for your skills you will benefit from a company package which includes a basic salary between £35,000 and £40000 with a company car and a comprehensive company package after a qualifying period.
