Job Description:
Electrical Technical Manager
The Electrical Technical Manager will work across the property maintenance division and small works division of a busy expanding contractor with locations across the NW and Yorkshire. Our client currently specialise within the public house and retail sectors but are also looking to expand the business further into other areas.
You will be responsible for a team of 30 electricians carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and electrical testing services to their established client base across the NW and Yorkshire.
Your duties will include:
" Manage and develop technical standards for all electrical operations. Ensure NICEIC compliance and implement other industry standards as required. Act as NICEIC Principle Duty Holder " Work with the department Team Leaders on the electrical elements of tenders and contracts. Provide technical expertise and consultancy to ensure best value solutions are provided to clients. " Manage electrical supervisors across the branches to ensure effective delivery of electrical installation & maintenance. Provide technical support to the Electrical Business Manager and planned electrical staff " Organise electrical supply chain, plant and test equipment for electrical supervisors and coordinators " Manage the quotation of contract works, help secure orders, chase uplifts and manage works schedules. Ensure management information systems are updated and supporting paperwork is processed correctly " Take overall responsibility for company compliance with Health, Safety and Welfare procedures for electrical activities. Arrange pre-start and post completion paperwork for clients. Ensure safe systems of work and standards of site operation. Investigate and report on electrical accidents, incidents and preventative measures. " Manage the recruitment, training and ongoing certification of all electrical tradesmen and apprentices. " Arrange for test certification to be completed and issued promptly in conjunction with Planned Testing and the Electrical Business Manager. " Provide electrical support to the company's mechanical subsidiary, to include advice and installation on renewable energy supplies and energy efficiency measures, " Attend management meetings and report on the performance of the electrical activities. Provide additional reporting and information to senior management as may be required.
This is a general management role and therefore you will have extensive man management experience and also have the ambition, drive and business acumen to help build the business, expand the client base and also extend the range of services they are currently offering to their existing client base.
This role will pay an excellent salary of up to £40k-£45k and a package negotiable for the right candidate.
