A busy house builder seeks to appoint an experienced Architectural Technician to join their head office in Doncaster. The company develop new build properties ranging from 2 bed starter homes to 5 bed family homes.
The Role - Architectural Manager
The company have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join as an Architectural Manager with the aspirations to progress as the company moves forward. Reporting to the Architectural Director; the purpose of the role is to ensure timely delivery of complete, high quality and cost-effective designs and approvals for multiple new build housing developments.
Duties to include
Working with the Land Department to ensure smooth transition of all architectural information takes place. To check all architectural drawings and details for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability. To liaise with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met. To apply for and secure planning permission for all architectural design and relevant regulation approval. To attend site visits and meetings in order to solve any problems that arise during the construction process. To attend design meetings with planning departments to ascertain requirements from a council perspective for new developments. Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required. Procure sketch layouts and architectural design solutions. Provide provisional assessment of architectural design requirements. Review technical information and provide value architectural design Complete, approve and formalise the Building Regulation and CFSH applications. Monitor progress of the Building Regulation and CFSH applications and obtain approval Assist the Technical Director to obtain fee quotations from specialist consultants for all architectural design requirements. Provide architectural and technical support to the site teams
Architectural Manager - Skills & Experience
Previous experience working on house building projects Relevant qualification in Architectural Design High level of interpersonal skills and a professional attitude to work Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent architectural knowledge - particularly house types Proven track record of delivering Building Control approvals Experience of planning, organising and prioritising own workload Confident with ability to communicate and influence at all levels; Self motivated, Resilient, Tenacious, Enthusiastic
