Architectural Technician Merseyside £30,000 - £40,000 plus car allowance A growing developer in Merseyside is seeking an Architectural Technician to join an established team. The company build 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes across the North West region. Role of Architectural Technician The main responsibilities will include co-ordination of Architects and interrogation of architectural layouts and designs; support of the pre-contract application process, submission of building regulations/ NHBC applications and securing all necessary consents to enable projects to commence.
The Architectural Technician will also be responsible for interdepartmental liaison and support with regard to providing technical information and resolving technical issues. The work will be mainly for volume residential developments; therefore experience within this type of design is critical.
o Supervision and Management of Architects including sub-contractors and co-ordinating the information flow between relevant parties. o Liaison with all relevant external bodies, Consultants and Architects to ensure satisfactory production information and document flow to maximise buildability and value engineering processes. o To evolve and manage the full company's house type range including variations o Provide possible sketch layout schemes for feasibility purposes when required.
You will also be skilled in using AutoCAD and have detailed knowledge of the SAP and Building Regulations, CfSH and HQI Standards.
Skills & Experience required o HND or equivalent is preferred o An excellent knowledge of construction and architectural techniques in the residential sector. o A successful track record of technical co-ordination o Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD. o A background in housing construction, architectural or design preferably within the housing sector or practise. o A clear understanding of Health and Safety Legislation with CDM.
