High end Commercial Fit Out Contractor requires an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor.
Looking for a candidate with experience within the sector, the role would also suit a Graduate or Post-Graduate candidate looking for an opportunity to join an exciting and progressive company.
Negotiable salary depending on experience plus car allowance and package.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, reputable and expanding high end commercial Fit Out Contractor who are based in Greater Manchester. They are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to work on a permanent basis, on a variety of upcoming commercial fit out projects.
You will be responsible for 2-3 projects at any one time (depending on value), project values range from £300K - £1.8M. As an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:- " Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties. " Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client " Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement " Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract. " Preparation of internal cost reporting measures. " Advice when required on cost management, or value management. " Maintaining quality control procedures. " Health & Safety management. " Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management. " Ensure cash flow is maximized
The successful candidate must have or be currently undertaking degree/HNC qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent). You must be able to demonstrate a stable and progressive career history on your CV. You must also be happy to travel regionally across the North West when required.
The position is looking to start as soon as possible and in return you will benefit from a negotiable salary dependent on experience plus package including car allowance. Day release can also be offered for those still studying.
