A leading North West contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their continued growth.
You can expect a package starting at around £27,000 up to £32,000 and has a competitive benefits package including car/allowance amongst others.
You will be working on a wide range of projects, including mixed use, residential and commercial developments. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring all projects remain profitable by providing support on forecasts, reconciling costs, providing feedback on any deviations and control of expenditure.
Assisting in compiling valuations, recording any price variations, maximizing external valuations, preparing internal valuations, accurately measuring work and preparing final accounts.
Supporting the Senior Quantity surveyor in valuing sub contract works, preparing liability statements, ensuring compliance with subcontract conditions, minute subcontract meetings and recovering any losses.
Scrutinising subcontract documents to ensure they comply with main contract conditions.
Are you an ambitious individual who is looking for a long term career with the company? You should be degree educated (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying as well as having at least 2 years' experience in a related role. Candidates who have experience of working for a main contractor would be of particular interest. You will be commercially astute, confident in negotiating with clients and suppliers and have the drive to hit the ground running and deliver results.
