My client are an award winning house builder who have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site for their development in Middlewich.
The company are a privately-owned house builder providing new homes in the North West, Midlands and South of England. They build developments on brownfield sites, transforming existing buildings and disused land into housing developments. Assistant Site Manager - The Role
The Assistant Site Manager reports directly to the Site Manager and will also report to the Contracts Manager and Construction Director on all matters relating to the day to day running of the development. Duties and responsibilities include:
" Alongside Site Manager take ownership of agreed build programmes at pre-start meetings and assist Site Manager in accepting and checking the full build package " Assist with ensuring that Health & Safety procedures are strictly adhered to " Maintain and produce, up to-date Health & Safety records " Conform fully to building regulations & warranty providers requirements (NHBC, LABC) " Assist with ensuring cost effective production in line with development budgets by ensuring that the work undertaken is in full accordance with the cost provision allocated " Assist with organisation of regular site production meetings and pre-plan and ensure efficient usage of all resources " Contribute to ensuring accurate production/progress returns are updated " Assist the Site Manager to ensure H&S, Environmental & Waste Policies are adhered to " Ensure practical completions are formulated with sales to ensure mutual compatibility " Assist with ensuring site security and good practice is maintained at all times " Assist with ensuring sensible level of stock control and checking deliveries " Ensure the quality of finished product meets the Company and warranty expectations " Ensure sub-contractors work to the required specification " Ensure site management cover in times of holiday cover, training and unexpected sickness of the Site Manager " Ensure plots are finished to high standard by taking ownership of plots until completion " Take responsibility for the supervision of cranes " Carry out home tours and demonstrations " Ensure air testing is carried out and units passed " Accompany build inspector whilst CML is carried out " Carry out monthly meter readings " Liaise with Clerk of Works, ensuring his comments are carried out
Assistant Site Manager - Skills & Experience
" Previous experience in a similar role working with a house builder " Team Worker " Good man-management skills " Ability to liaise with internal and external personnel " Ability to meet deadlines " Trade background - ideally Joinery or Bricklaying " Essential - CSCS card, First Aid, SMSTS
