Assistant Site Manager
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a reputable house builder in the North West for a new housing development based near Rochdale.
My client are a large established Construction Company who have several divisions within the group, this requirement is for their house building division.
Assistant Site Manager Role
You will be responsible assisting the Site Manager for the operational delivery of a housing development from out of the ground through to completion. You will be required to work to a strict build programme whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety and build quality. You will be responsible for the coordination and man management of various subcontractors and attend client progress meetings until handover.
Your duties will include:
" Achieve production targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met " Read and understand specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation " Assist with the production of H&S and O&M on completion of projects " Assist with the requisition and management of materials/delivery " Issue subcontractors with regular short term programmes to ensure planned progress is achieved " Attending progress meetings " Display on site an up to date copy of the construction programme indicating the progress to date " Give full consideration to the tender allowances when establishing the site compound " Liaise with the design team, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to and maintain good working relationships " Attend monthly cost meetings and agree contribution forecast " Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects " Obtain risk assessments and method statements from contractors prior to work commencement " Ensure safe storage and co-ordination of materials " Assist with the preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must have a proven track record working on new build housing developments. You will also hold a valid SMSTS or SSSTS certificate, CSCS card and First Aid qualified.
The salary & package on offer is negotiable, dependent on your experience along with a car allowance and inclusive benefits package.
