Assistant Site Manager - New Build Housing
My client are a privately owned quality house builder who have an opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join a new development based in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
The company are well established and have built an excellent reputation building quality homes for a wide range of buyers, they also pride themselves on building a quality home that suits the needs of their buyers offering exceptional customer service from pre-sale through to aftercare. Their properties range from one bedroom apartments to luxury penthouses and prestigious executive homes.
Site Manager - The Role
The development will have approx. 100 units located near a beautiful village, there will be a mix of houses and bungalow traditionally built to a high specification.
Reporting to the Site Manager you will be assisting in the control of all site operations, duties will include:
" Ensure continuity of all subcontract works " Carry out regular safety inspection of all site operations " Liaise with Site Manager in preparation of materials schedules " Liaise with Materials Controller to ensure adequate storage and protection of materials " Supervise day to day operations and direct labour " Maintain daily site records " Maintain quality control on site and ensure compliance with the specification " Liaise with Site Manager in preparation of short term programmes " Attend weekly staff meetings " Maintain all aspects of the requirements laid down by the Health & Safety Executive and the factory inspectorate, including all reports for the Company Safety/Security Officer " Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations " Motivate all site personnel to maintain 'team spirit' " Promote and enhance the company image
Site Manager - Skills & Experience required
Skills & Experience
The successful Assistant Site Manager must have previous experience working on new build housing developments delivering properties to a high standard. You will ideally come from trade background (joinery / bricklaying) and will have good eye for detail. It is also essential to hold valid SSSTS OR SMSTS and First Aid Certificate and a relevant CSCS card.
In return for your skills the company are offering £34 - £37k (depending on experience, £4k Car Allowance and additional company benefits including pension and healthcare. The company are also well known for promoting Managers through the ranks.
