My client is looking for an Assistant Site Manager / Project Manager to take the lead on exciting projects, including both domestic projects as well as small commercial developments. Salary will be up to £30k depending on experience and this opportunity is a great career move for an aspiring candidate with previous relevant experience.
As a key point of contact you'll provide advice and guidance to clients, be involved from point of inception through to handover, therefore the ability to read drawings and a strong understanding of construction methods is essential.
Achieve projects targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met.
Read and understand specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation.
Requisition and management of materials/delivery, liaising with the Buyer.
Issue subcontractors with regular short term programmes to ensure planned progress is achieved.
Hold and attend progress meeting facing both senior management, clients and architects.
Liaise with the design team, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to and maintain good working relationships.
Assist in ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects.
Meeting various building standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree qualified or equivalent in a Construction related discipline is desirable.
SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid qualifications are also desirable.
You will come from a previous general building background, ideally with some experience managing high end bespoke domestic projects.
