Business Development Manager Requirement - The Client
My client currently seek to appoint an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager, whose role it will be to raise the profile of the Contractor's brand and services within the construction sector. It will be your responsibility to develop opportunities to tender for work covering various sectors - maintenance, refurbishment, construction and to assist in promoting/growing the business in line with company expectations.
The Role of a Business Development Manager in Construction
As a result of their growth they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager join the company and develop the business in the North West.
You will be reporting directly to company Directors and will work remotely in a strategic business development role that will involve the development of the company's product portfolio in both the refurbishment and new build sectors within local authority and regeneration works.
Your duties will include establishing and building relationships with prospective and current clients, undertaking research and providing recommendations and reports on future market trends and conditions. Essentially, you will be managing the entire sale process from identifying and qualifying a lead, to arranging appointments and meeting with the potential client, to being the introduction and interface for the pre-construction and delivery team.
You will need to be highly self-motivated and organised a high-percentage of your time will be spent in discussions with existing or potential clients through networking events, conferences, exhibitions, and product launches. You will be responsible for producing both monthly and quarterly reports which include forecasts on activity and achievement against business targets.
The person - Business Development Manager - Construction
The successful candidate MUST have a proven track record of generating leads and creating new business within the construction sector.
You must be commercial astute with a keen awareness of current legislative and climate changes within local authority and regeneration schemes.
This is a field-based role which requires a highly resilient and self-motivated individual who can organise and plan their time efficiently to maximise results and delivery.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills, you will use your contacts and sales ability to generate leads and explore new innovative ways of moving forward to reach targets.
In return, you will benefit from a basic salary up to £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience) plus company package which includes car allowance, company pension and holidays plus bank holidays.
