My client are an established North West based contractor operating on a national basis working across a number of sectors. Owing to planned growth they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Construction team working alongside the Managing Director.
This is an established division spanning over 40 years of business with a number of leading clients delivering projects ranging from £5k - £3m. Works can range from:
" Work is undertaken across, Commercial & Retail, Education, Industrial Pharmaceutical and Recreational projects. " Major structural upgrades of working production buildings, replacement of structural elements. " Construction of new facilities within existing factory premises. " Management of term contracts, for provision of client and contractor access, including rapid response and specialist work. " Term maintenance contracts with factory based site management operating experienced and dedicated team of tradesmen.
Working alongside the Managing Director you will be responsible for expanding the company's portfolio within the Construction market and looking for areas to strengthen the company's profile.
You will be responsible for building on their presence within their current markets and capitalise on previous success's as well as looking to introduce the business to new opportunities within the construction market and to overall increase their sales, ensuring that all current customers receive good service and account management, whilst maximising the opportunities to penetrate the market further.
As a business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving profitable growth across both regional and National Accounts. Working closely with the National Account Managers. You will be responsible for developing successful and profitable relationships with existing customers. In addition, this role will have a large focus on developing new business opportunities within your region in line with the company goals.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within the construction industry and have worked in a business development role generating new business opportunities along with development existing client relationships.
You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to build relationships internally and with your customers. You will be an organised individual with the drive, motivation and passion to achieve sales and thrive on over delivering against targets.
