Commercial Administrator - Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) My client are a Top 10 house builder operating UK wide. The company focuses on building attractive, high-quality homes and communities. Their house type ranges from 1 and 2 bed apartments to 5 bed detached houses, with a broad price range including both private and affordable homes. They are looking for an experience Commercial Administrator on a 9 month fixed term contract (could go perm after depending on workload). The Role To deliver efficient, customer focused, professional administration support to the Commercial department with particular emphasis on the payment of sub-contractors and site date preparation. Responsibilities:- Administration duties at Procurement stage, including supporting the Quantity Surveyors with the preparation of enquiry packs and collating tender information. Issue Health and Safety Contractor Competency Questionnaires for new contractors. Analyse sub-contractor weekly and monthly applications for payment, with assistance from Quantity Surveyors. Prepare interim payments for measured work for approval by Quantity Surveyors. Issue contra-charges as appropriate with assistance from Quantity Surveyors. Processing and issuing sub-contract orders for approval by Quantity Surveyors. General office duties including accurate collation and storage of information and various administration duties for the Commercial & Technical teams Administration of applications from utility companies and NHBC home registrations. Deal with telephone and e-mail enquiries, organising meetings and diary management as and when required.
Skills Required: " Previous experience of working in a high paced office environment " Experience using COINS payment system " Previous experience working within a volume house builder / construction environment " Good communication skills " Good knowledge of Microsoft computer software
