Construction Apprentice / Trainee
A Wigan based construction company are currently looking Apprentice / Trainee who is looking for their first role within the construction industry. Courses available can be funded by the company throughout the qualification.
This company complete projects primarily within social housing, along with sectors including leisure, commercial, industrial, health, education and retail projects.
They pride themselves on quality, affordable and timely works whether the works be on a new building, maintenance, refurbishment or an adaptation they always deliver the highest standard of workmanship and this is evidential in their positive feedback and repeat works with customers in Greater Manchester and beyond.
These developments can be anything from an internal refurbishment of a kitchen, bathroom, re-wiring, a new boiler system too externals including new fencing, re-roofing, new windows or doors and new gutters. The Council will contact my client setting up a contract for them to undertake the required works as listed above for the Council.
Other projects can include building new Social Housing developments, refurbishments and adaptations to schools, hospitals, commercial and leisure buildings.
There are many opportunities within the construction industry and this is a position that is suited for someone who is looking to complete an apprenticeship or further education course such as a BTEC or HNC/D, in Surveying or Building Studies (or similar).
The company are looking for an enthusiastic school leaver / college student who is looking for an opportunity to join a company whilst being paid to train, whether on the day-to-day job or day release.
As an apprentice / trainee you will be involved with:-
Work alongside experienced staff;
Gain job-specific skills and qualifications;
Earn a salary while learning.
Apprenticeships can vary from 1 - 5 years depending on the trade, HNC/D can be 2 years and higher education such as a degree can be 3-4 years.
*All apprenticeships and courses can be funded by the company.

Currently studying at college or university on part-time basis and looking for your first trainee position
Genuine desire to work within the construction industry
Living and studying in England;
Not in full-time education.
