My client is a national contractor; working across several key sectors including Building, Civil Engineering, Steelwork and Developments. As a result of expansion and winning new projects, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Planner to work with them on a permanent basis in their building sector.
The projects are national, and your time will be predominantly spent in the office with site visits also being important.
As a Planner, you will be comfortable working independently and will need little in the way of guidance or training - You will be responsible for:
Support our site teams by auditing, monitoring and updating site programme with the site teams to ensure we have for example NEC compliant programmes issued monthly where applicable.
Assisting pre-tender planning and programming support.
Need to have good site experience and a clear working knowledge of programming software, Microsoft project.
To resource a programme and how to monitor and identify critical path, float etc.
To develop and present as-built impacted programmes in claim situations.
Manage the Planning resource to ensure adequate coverage of all pre-qualification enquiries and tenders applicable to business needs.
Prepare tender programmes and methodology sequence sketches/statements as required by the ITT.
Produce fully logic linked construction programmes with construction teams at a level of detail appropriate to the needs of the project, to ensure accuracy in reporting.
Monitor contract progress accurately to give forecasted completions, identify causes of delay, record relevant events of Contracts and report to the construction teams
Produce completion programmes with construction team and any other short term programmes requested.
Assist with management of sub-contractors through production of trade filters, short term programmes or resource scheduling
Assist with production of Extension of Time applications as and when required.
