The Role - Construction Trainer
We are looking to appoint a Construction Trainer to join our expanding delivery team covering our venues in Watford, Basildon and Colchester. Training may also take place in other locations across the South as required.
Working as part of a national delivery team, your key responsibilities will include:
Delivery of various accredited and non-accredited Health and Safety training courses to the highest possible standard - courses delivered will primarily be CITB accredited
Delivering all course content in line with the accrediting bodies lesson plan/syllabus/rules and any HSE guidance
Maintaining accurate and up to date course knowledge
Delivering engaging and understandable courses for all delegates
Developing new training presentations and materials ensuring all are high quality and follow 3B brand guidelines
Meeting and greeting delegates and ensuring they are signed in correctly
Checking paperwork has been completed correctly by all delegates before the end of the course
Ensuring feedback forms are completed and collected on the final day of the course and returned in line with the course return process.
Correctly marking exam papers and delivering results to delegates
Processing course paperwork in a timely manner
Understand all 3B courses and be confident advising clients when required
To lead or assist in companywide 3B projects in line with company requirements
Attend client meetings / pitches with the sales team as required
Reporting immediately any genuine complaints to the relevant training centre for investigation.
The Person - Construction Trainer
It is essential that you have:
Minimum of 3 years working in a construction environment at site management level
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Willingness to travel
Experience of delivering training to groups of delegates
Good IT skills and ability to confidently develop course materials
Excellent Health and Safety knowledge
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with ability to organise own workload
Excellent communication skills
The following are desirable but not essential:
NEBOSH construction certificate
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS) or equivalent
Assessor qualification - A1 or similar
The Pay - Construction Trainer
In reward for your skills and experience you will be offered a competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience) plus 28 days holiday (including public holidays). The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
