Award winning regional contractor looking for Contracts Manager to join their team.
Responsible for general construction projects across the North West valued up to £6M, bulk of projects across Manchester City Centre.
Competitive salary starting at £48K plus package.
Regional Construction Company who specialise in complex projects across a wide range of sectors, education, industrial, healthcare, commercial and civil engineering.
Their projects that can range from structural alterations, adaptations and full internal & external refurbishments.
The role will involve running 3-4 contracts at one given time around the values of £1M - £4M.
Due to an increase in work they are looking for self-motivated, knowledgeable and talented Contracts Manager. Your duties will include:-
Planning projects and ensuring they are programmed to a level of detail for the site manager/operatives to deliver the scheme without delays
Ensuring the site team compliance with Company commercial policies and procedures
Attending tender handover meetings and deliver pre start meetings for the site team
Producing and analysing progress reports, updating the costs and forecasts
Chairing and attending internal and external meetings and ensuring the accurate production of records of any discussions and actions required
Carrying out weekly reviews of progress, budgeting resources and forward planning, and look ahead programmes are in place.
Ensuring effective Health & Safety
Organising labour and encouraging maximum productivity.
Liaising with architects, surveyors and clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
You must be driven and motivated individual, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Manager on general construction schemes such as educational, healthcare and commercial projects.
You must also have the appropriate CSCS Management Card, SMSTS and First Aid tickets.
In return for your skills, the client is looking to pay a basic salary of £48K upwards plus package including car allowance, private healthcare, pension, 34 days' holiday (including bank holidays) and bonus scheme.
