An award winning regional contractor have a requirement for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their family run business based in Lancashire. The company have been delivering building private residential developments across the Lancashire and Greater Manchester region. In addition to private development the company also work closely with local Housing Associations delivering Affordable Housing schemes.
Due to recent changes in the business they are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to manage a mix of private and D&B developments. You will be responsible for 3-4 developments at any one time.
The role requires the development of positive working relationships with both internal and external customers/clients with strong emphasis placed on ensuring that Service Delivery and Client satisfaction against project specific KPI's are achieved.
You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
" Programme delivery and planning " Regular liaison with the client and contract reporting " Building internal and external relationships " Providing regular progress updates and resolving any issues as and when they arise " Overall staff responsibility and man management of a team of Site Managers, Assistants Site Managers, and Foremen and direct and subcontract plant and trades. " Ensuring high standards of Health and Safety " Meeting strict programme targets including handover of properties and completions targets on new build housing
Experience - Contracts Manager
This requires a focused and resilient Contracts Manager who is organised, methodical and computer literate. The ability to make decisions quickly and "think on your feet" are essential.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, with experience of managing design and build, open market and mixed tenure developments alike and a proven track record of delivering multiple contracts. Knowledge of current Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, Health, and Safety and Environmental legislation is essential
You will be commercially astute, customer focussed and a team player who is able to demonstrate strong inter-personal skills, people management skills with strong proven management and communication skills are also a prerequisite.
Salary & Package - Contracts Manager
You will benefit from a basic salary between £50,000 - £53,000, company car or allowance, mileage and additional company benefits
