My client are a leading Contractor in the UK, who operate across three key divisions (Fitout, M&E Services and Maintenance). The company work on a number of National Frameworks in the Retail, Banking & Leisure sector as well as undertaking Design & Build Construction projects in a variety of sectors.
As a result of recent & sustained expansion, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced & motivated Contracts Manager to join their team, managing retail and banking fit out projects on national frameworks.
As a Contracts Manager, you will have first line management responsibility for a number of Site Managers and also be responsible for:
Responsible for the overall management, planning, programming & phasing of all projects; including front-end activities from tender stage
Ensuring the site management team manage the planning and establishment of activities related to site set up; including management of labour resources and materials
Managing effective meetings with site team and attending meetings where necessary: including pre-start, hand-over meetings, sub-contractor progress, contract progress, internal team meetings.
Preparation and production of progress reports for client/team meetings
Monitoring of progress against programme and taking appropriate action to ensure programme is maintained.
Regularly monitoring sub-contractor performance
Providing tailor-made services to assist clients in developing and managing their projects
Offering clients added value to provide quality, start-to-finish delivery
Applying strong presentation and communication skills when liaising with clients and consultants - particularly in the delivery of project programmes and phasing presentations to clients
Liaising effectively with design teams and client representatives
Commercial awareness for the financial viability of a project
Monitoring and controlling supply chain to ensure costs are managed efficiently, and to maximise cost savings
Experience key account management is essential and the successful candidate must also have previous experience managing multiple fast track fit out projects.
The salary on offer is up to £55k plus an attractive benefits package consisting of car allowance, 25 days holiday + 8 banks, free use of the on-site gym, pension, healthcare etc.
