Customer Care Building Inspector - New build properties
My client are a leading specialist property developer who undertake property conversions that are complex and bespoke. They currently have a requirement for a Customer Care Building Inspector to manage and carry out inspections on plots that do not meet the clients standard or have reported defects.
Finishing Manager - The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager to ensure that the required work on these plots comply with the Company standard and tolerance, meeting the agreed time frame and deliver high levels of Customer Service
" To work with the customer care team to understand what snags/tolerances have been reported on certain plots. " To carry out inspections on the reported plots ensuring that the correct procedure is followed to assess the reported items, giving a clear assessment on what works needs to be undertaken. " To manage client expectations when carrying out assessments and agreed works. " Visit and liaise with the client, customer care and site teams to ensure completion of agreed defects are carried out. " Identify recurring defects by contractors and materials to ensure that changes are made in the future to prevent the problem reoccurring. " To record the results of each inspection and provide a report on what works is required. " Attend Warranty Claim Investigation meetings as and when required, carrying out a report on the findings. " Liaise with team members to instruct works to subcontractors, technicians and any other relevant parties. " To work with the commercial department to ensure that defective work is contra charged back to the sub-contractor where relevant. " Manage own diary to ensure all properties are inspected in the required timescales to meet the company policy and the client's expectation.
" Previous construction knowledge ideally with a warranty provider otherwise site management experience. " Onsite inspection experience. " The ability to recognise construction defects and understand tolerances of warranty providers i.e. NHBC/Premier. " Customer focused and previous client facing exposure. " The ability to deal with difficult situations. " Communicate in a clear and confident manner. " Competent in the use of technical and software packages such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
The company offer a salary of up to £40k with car or car allowance. There is a progression route with this role to a Site Manager.
