A growing, 5 star house builder based in the Midlands are looking to appoint a Design Engineer on a permanent basis to support their expanding team.
The company are a five star House Builder and have an excellent reputation for building high quality houses. Based near Leicester, they have a growing pipeline of work and are looking to significantly grow the size of their team, making this an excellent time to join the organisation.
You'll typically be dealing with 3-4 live developments at any one time, the role will be predominantly office based but will require travel to sites.
Developments can range in size between 30 units on the lower end, up to several hundred on the upper end.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, some of your duties will include:
" Provide engineering input to surveyors at site viability stage to allow costing of abnormal engineering requirements. " Produce External works and Building drainage designs for schemes " Design of S38/S104 road and sewer schemes and submissions for technical approval " Use of Site3D and Micro Drainage software packages to produce designs " Use of AutoCAD software to prepare engineering drawings and produce vehicle tracking " Production of company standard specifications, drawings and procedures " Produce company standard details for private works " Produce composite services drawings for a scheme and also proposed ducting layouts " Design and production of site earthworks drawings and specification to suit evolving company requirements. On offer is a package c.£40K-£50K + Car Allowance and Bonus Scheme. However, they are open to hearing from candidates of different experience levels and this is therefore negotiable.
The Experience required The role would suit a candidate from a Consultancy background who is looking to move in to a Developer environment and take the next step in their career. Varying levels of experience will be considered however you will need a minimum of 2 years' in a relevant role.
