Are you a Junior Project Manager or Coordinator with a construction / project management / building studies qualification looking for something different in the construction sector?
A national housebuilder based in Warrington are currently looking for a Junior Development Coordinator / Project Manager to work in the development team. The company invest heavily in developing and training their employees and this is an opportunity to progress to a Project or Development Manager.
Role & Responsibilities of a Development Coordinator
This position will involve managing 1-2 sites, and supporting the Development Managers with their sites on a day to day basis.
This is an office based position which will involve
Assisting the Development Managers with planning applications and documentation
Working alongside the land team in completing financial analysis of sites
Assist in providing technical advice on demolition, drainage, services, highways and foundations
In liaison with the Land, Sales and Legal departments arrange competitive quotes and sales of freehold reversion are to be arranged.
Monitor progress of application drawings, distribute and collate Development team's comments, to ensure the most cost effective and suitable design solution is provided.
Liaise with architect to ensure comments on drawings are communicated and monitor progress of drawings.
Liaise with Local Authorities and provide information to architect and Development team to enable the design solution to be advanced.
Liaise with external Planning Consultants and architects to ensure that programme for planning applications (often set out within options) are complied with.
As a Development Coordinator / Project Manager, you will need to have the following:
HNC or above in a construction related discipline such as Construction or Project Management, or Building Studies
A strong desire to work in the construction sector
Committed and hardworking, thriving in a bust environment
Full driving licence
Excellent IT skills and must be well organised.
