Development Engineer - House Building North West Salary and Package: up to £50,000 (depending on experience), Company Car (Grade 5) or Allowance (£5,760), Bonus (10%), Pension National house builder delivering new build properties to a wide range of customers varying from luxury family homes to townhouses, cottages and apartments located in new communities, urban, suburban or rural locations creating places of character and quality. Their homes are designed to work for the way people live today with materials and landscaping that reflect their commitment to quality, style and character. As a Development Engineer you will provide support as necessary in relation to demolition, earthworks, road & sewer works, groundworks, external works, specialist contractor works, services and other production related activities on a number of allocated developments. The Role: " Oversee the commissioning of topographical surveys and commission any other technical investigations and reports to facilitate the completion of technical investigations.
" Assist architects in reconciling title plans against survey and informing of site constraints, both physical and environmental.
" Provide fees for structural and engineering designs for inclusion in feasibility budget.
" Provide technical advice and assistance on demolition, remediation, drainage, services, highways and foundations.
" Inform Development Strategies such as ground engineering, ground profiling and earth management.
" Co-ordinate GPRS surveys and slip trenching.
" Formally inform and appoint civil and structural consultants.
" Monitor, review, intervene and sign off, civil / structural designs and release to the commercial department for tender.
" Secure all technical approvals
" Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and (PDS preferable)
" Inspect and appraise land opportunities and provide initial feasibility appraisals to enable a decision to be made whether to proceed with an offer.
" Liaise with Land and Estimating teams in completing financial analysis of sites. Including interrogation of workbook
" Support the process of adoptions
" Support the management of the regional development strategy i.e. earth management against site specific Development Strategies and site budget.
