Development Manager Warrington £45,000 - £52,000, company car or allowance and benefits A Leading residential and construction services group who invest heavily in areas that need additional building, maintenance and renewals are currently recruiting for a Development Manager with experience and knowledge of planning, technical and civil engineering. The Role and Responsibilities " Manage workload allocation and progress to meet business objective " Produce project status reports for Pre-Construction Manager to be able to produce management reports for Technical Director. " Critique information received from consultants (layouts, elevations, house types etc) to ensure optimum financial return on all sites. " Demonstrate business objectives and culture through personal actions. " Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and ensure that new sites are reflective of all necessary design and planning standards " Develop and maintain strong relationships with appointed architects, engineering consultants and other specialists. " Manage the production and submission of planning applications on pipeline sites, including the collation of all associated reports and other documentation " Be cognisant of required site start dates in line with the current Business Plan and manage projects accordingly Visit all sites prior to commissioning any layout or planning-related work " Maintain, develop and promote the relationships by being visible and approachable. Also, arranging and chairing design team and pre start meetings. " Set targets for consultants to include increasing levels of efficiency and output toward meeting business objectives (plotting densities, material choices etc). " Encourage and promote junior staff, co-operation within multi-disciplinary project teams and team work ethos. " Demonstrate a strong commercial commitment to maximising profit, remaining conscious of cost implications of design-related decisions. " Prepare and maintain technical fee budgets and manage works within agreed budgets where applicable. " Identify and manage risk within projects. Ensure risk register is regularly updated for review and comply with standing orders.
