The Company
This company are a five star House Builder and have an excellent reputation for building high quality homes throughout the Midlands region. Based near Leicester, they have a growing pipeline of work and are looking to significantly grow the size of their team and now require a Development Manager / Civil Project Manager to assist with the company growth plans.
The Role
As Development Project Manager you will be managing 3-4 live developments at any one time, and the role will be predominantly office based but will require travel to sites.
Developments can range in size between 30 units up to several hundred.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the duties of the Development Project Manager will include:
" Co-ordinating consultants for road, sewer, external works, private drainage, structural, foundation, pump station and other bespoke designs. Review designs for cost/build issues and mark up drawings/arrange meetings to feed back to consultants.
" Obtain technical submission drawing packs from the consultants for submission to authorities.
" Assessment of any diversion/upgrade works required to existing services that affect the development and obtain costs/timescales for diversions in good time to suit programme.
" Obtaining foundation designs, suspended slab designs, schedules, standard details and relevant information to enable construction. Review all foundation designs for cost/build issues and make comments.
" Organise geotechnical consultants to carry out testing/site works to clear planning conditions classify spoil material/waste and remediate ground if required to do so.
Experienced required
To be considered for the position of Development Project Manager you will need to have the following:
" Experienced in a civil engineering Project Manager role; either with a consultancy or a developer
" HNC or above in a building / construction / civil engineering discipline
" Experience managing external consultants
" Well organised with high attention to detail
" Full driving licence
