My client are an established developer based in Manchester who specialise in city centre residential and mixed used developments who have a requirement for a Document Controller for one of their flagship projects.
This is an exciting role which will involve you to develop your skills, we are looking for somebody who can ensure the delivery of documents efficiently across a busy development ensuring all personnel on site, including subcontractors, have access to the relevant documents. You will also be required to train internal staff and subcontractor on the CRM System. Duties to include:
* Ensure that the Control of Project documentation is carried out in line with the Company Quality Procedures and Design Guides with regard to logging, copy and distribution, storage (electronic or hard copy), document transmittals, revision control and drawing / document register * Liaise with Project Manager and various subcontractors to ensure that document control requirements are met * To support the Project Manager in the Continuous Improvement Process for Document Control * Ad hoc duties as directed by the Project Manager to assist the project team * Assist the Project Manager and / or the Project Engineer as and when required such as producing written documents and reports on document status * Register all incoming and outgoing project documents, ensuring all documents and drawings are provided with transmittals * Maintain an electronic record in the project folder of all documents received and issued * Extract all relevant documents to be transmitted from the controlled file and compile, in presentation files, full design packages of work including drawings produced on CAD and other required documentation, ensuring that all design packages are presented in a complete, authorised as Design Guides, common and high quality manner. * Act as the focal point for the receipt of all documentation as required for projects and distribute accordingly * Control the archiving of all required project documentation, both electronic and hard copies
Skills & Experience required:
* Reliable and professional * Organisation and attention to detail * Excellent communication skills * Ability to follow process * Experience working in construction * Knowledge of Microsoft * Knowledge of A-Site or a similar document management system
In return for your skills my client are offering a basic salary of £23-28k (dependant on experience), working hours are 8 am to 5pm (Monday to Friday) with 30 mins lunch.
