An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a well-established Maintenance Contractor who are experiencing a period of sustained growth. Typical work includes Social Housing refurbishment (planned, reactive & voids) and new build social housing projects.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, your duties will include:
" Preparing and processing of quotations, bids and tenders aswell as accurate pricing " Supporting the commercial team in analysing which opportunities to bid for " Collecting quotes from materials and sub-contractors. Assessing and reporting the levels of commercial risk on a project " Supplier and sub-contractor enquires " Produce bills of quantities, schedule of work and contractor proposals " Assess material, labour and plant requirements " Increase and develop the supply chain at regional offices " Review unsuccessful bids and client feedback to improve accuracy for future bids " Assess commercial and operational risks with tenders " Provide guidance to other members of staff " Maintain accurate company records " Assisting the Bid team on occasion " Supporting the company directors in developing bid and growth strategies The successful candidate must have relevant Estimating experience within a similar Maintenance/Social Housing Contractor. You must also be IT literate, have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, as well as a can-do attitude.
The company offer a salary of £45-50k (depending on experience) + competitive package and benefits.
