An opportunity to join a well-established Social Housing Contractor as an Estimator, in Derbyshire. My client specialises in multiple types of social housing contracts, including responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance with local authorities, and housing associations.
They have a requirement for an Estimator to work on multiple contracts. The role is to assist in the providing and estimating and tendering service to meet the contract budgets.
Monitor the time delivery, cost information and financial forecasting in line with contracts
Work collaboratively with Bid team to formulate a cost related tender strategy
Estimate cost related information in line with contract, including the preparation of suitable cost models
Complete, check and present all tender documents
Follow the specific estimating procedures set out by the contractor
Liaise with Architects, and Quantity Surveyors
Maintain current market knowledge of materials, labour, and sub-contractors
Manage enquires of materials, labour, and sub-contractors
Price quotes and bills accurately using estimating software
You will be offered a salary of £40 000+, 25 days holiday (+ statutory holidays) with additional benefits.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have a proven track record and experience of estimating repairs & maintenance within the social housing market. A degree/HNC in a related subject would be advantageous.
