A National, Award Winning social housing and maintenance provider seeks to appoint an experienced Head of Construction to work on various ongoing developments in Yorkshire. To be responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient running of the programme as a whole, in particular the management of the pre-construction phase. To be responsible for the commercial and operational managers To ensure that Client change requests do not affect programme, by working with the design and commercial teams. To challenge and encourage colleagues to improve processes, efficiencies and programme. To keep the MD informed of progress to programme and potential areas of risk and opportunity. To liaise with all levels of staff within the company, subcontractors and consultants, to ensure the effective delivery of all projects. To advise on future resource requirements, ensuring timely recruitment of extra staff. To provide line management for the Site Managers, Ground Works Team, Project Co-ordinator and the M&E Contracts Managers. To co-ordinate responses to queries raised by insurers, Client Surveyors, funders and other external parties.
The company pay very competitively, with a basic salary of up to £55k and a benefits package which consists of a car allowance, 25 days holiday (+ statutory holidays), private healthcare, and pension.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in a similar role within the commercial sector is essential as you will be working on projects up to £1m A degree/HNC in either Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is essential
