An extremely reputable House Builder seeks to appoint a Land Buyer to identify and manage the secure land and the associated planning processes which underpin the future business growth plans, ensuring that land is commercially viable and that it maximises the delivery of the company's business plan. Paying a competitive basic salary of up to £60k + attractive benefits package, the company pride themselves on building an excellent quality product.
Identify and assist in securing target sites and plots in line with business plan Maintain in-depth knowledge of planning status of local plan and 5 year land supply of targeted region Secure and agree Heads of Terms for targeted land opportunities Provide sufficient evidence and information for the negotiation of terms, securing improved return on capital, within agreed measures Establish and manage legal support for successful land buying Ensure effective execution of deals that protect and secure the company's business plan in both the short and medium term Effectively manage key stakeholder relationships to positively promote the company in achieving the business plan Establish and maintain high quality land agent and land owner relationships Build effective internal relationships throughout all functions to ensure that land viabilities and bids are created and progressed in a timely manner Create and deliver engagement and relationship management plans for stakeholders Effective expectation management across all stakeholder groups Manage the land viability, bid and planning in line with business targets and requirements, protecting and enhancing secured sites Develop and implement effective deal structures Ensure all key documentation is delivered on time and to quality standards Manage and monitor effective handover of sites Keep abreast of and operate in line local authority, regulatory and legislative requirements Manage the effective site transfer to technical and commercial teams Ensure that due diligence is provided in the handover of sites to technical colleagues Collaborate with key teams to ensure that the most effective results and plans are achieved Provide robust project plans including financial information, ensuring effective communication with key departments and colleagues Contribute to and present at concept meetings driving the development of plans to the next stage Manage and monitor plans providing feedback and contingency for any slippages.
The company pay are offering competitive pay, with a basic salary of up to £60k and a benefits package which consists of car allowance, 25 days holiday (+ statutory holidays) and pension.
Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrates high levels of integrity and trust Highly self-motivated and a real self- starter requiring minimal supervision Highly skilled at building meaningful and trusted relationships with external and internal partners. Experience of negotiating in a commercially astute manner Experience of both public and private bodies within Planning Development Control Significant working knowledge of the house building industry Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team Significant working knowledge of regulations and legislation pertaining to land acquisition and home building
