A large commercial contractor is currently building a Premier Inn in Scarborough and they now seek an experienced Logistics Manager to manage and coordinate transportation and supply chain movements of materials to site.
Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time delivery of materials.
Prioritise and coordinate work and supply demands on a daily/weekly basis.
Work alongside the site management team to organise when the deliveries need to be made
Observe and champion continuous improvement, driving improvements, cost savings and efficiency.
Develop, lead and manage direct reports.
Provide timely and accurate information as required.
At least 5 years experience in a logistics management setting.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Problem solver with a hands on 'can do' approach;
Computer literate (MS Outlook, Word & Excel).
Demonstrates an uncompromised commitment to health, safety & environment.
