An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, results driven Project Manager to join a well-established, and rapidly expanding Contractor who operate nationally. Currently specialising in Social Housing refurbishments, but also working in the private residential, Education & Commercial sectors, the company have gone from strength to strength each year and have an exciting growth plan in place for the coming years.
They have recently been awarded a new contract in Nottingham, and are looking for a Project Manager with an M&E background to head up this exciting, high profile project.
You will be working on a complex refurbishment of 4 blocks of 3 storey Maisonettes, which will include a whole M&E upgrade which will involve new electric/gas mains, and will mean managing road excavations, road closures etc. The project will also involve re-rendering, new windows, and general external refurbishments.
Reporting to a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Regular Liaison with the client and agents of the client to ensure clarity and the speedy resolution of issues, ensuring a strong working partnership - Continuous planning and overview of the contract to ensure that at all times the Company are fulfilling the requirements of the contract - Presentation skills to the extent of explaining projects to both clients and internally. - Allocation of workloads and duties between direct staff and sub-contractors to ensure that at all times the correct priorities are maintained and that issues and problems within the branch are dealt with in an effective and efficient way. - Coordinate the full construction process onsite and post construction - Develop construction phase health and safety plan
The successful candidate will ideally be academically qualified (HNC or Degree Qualified) and have a valid SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid.
In return for your skills, you will be offered a basic salary of £40-45k + attractive package.
