The Role - NVQ Assessor
We are looking to appoint an NVQ Assessor to join our growing NVQ department. The NVQ Assessor would be expected to cover the North West, and further when required.
This role would be suited to an experienced Construction assessor who is confident in using ePortfolio. We are also keen to speak to experienced Construction Project Managers, Contracts Managers or similar who are interested in moving into an assessing/training role. Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
Reporting to the NVQ Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:
Provide Information, Advice and Guidance to learners and employers
Support learners on their NVQ journey - from induction to completion
Enable all learners to complete their NVQ in a timely manner
Assess learners remotely and on site, using a variety of assessment methods
Champion the use of ePortfolio with your learners
Keep up to date records and documentation, and log all assessment activities on the ePortfolio
Maintain high quality standards and implement improvements as identified by internal and external quality assurers
Support with visits from awarding bodies
Support in the growth and development of the NVQ department
Attend client meetings with the NVQ and Sales teams as required
The Person - NVQ Assessor
It is essential that you have:-
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a construction environment at management level
Minimum of NVQ Level 6 (in Construction Site Management, Construction Contracting Operations or similar)
Strong IT skills - 3B is committing to moving our current NVQs to ePortfolio, so we'll need someone who can get to grips with new systems quickly
Good knowledge of law, legislation and guidance for the Construction industry
Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
Willingness to travel
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Excellent attention to detail
You will be confident and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
This role will suit a driven and enthusiastic individual - we want you to engage, inspire and motivate our learners.
There will be an expectation that NVQ learners can complete their NVQs remotely, so you will need to be confident using ePortfolio and assessing remotely (or willing to learn).
The Pay - Competitive & Car Allowance
In reward for your skills and experience you will be offered a salary that is negotiable depending on experience. 28 days holiday (including public holidays). The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm with half an hour for lunch.
