Payment Clerk Permanent - Full Time Warrington £18,000 - £22,000
My client are a national house builder delivering new build properties to a wide range of customers varying from luxury family homes to townhouses, cottages and apartments located in new communities, urban, suburban or rural locations creating places of character and quality. Their homes are designed to work for the way people live today with materials and landscaping that reflect their commitment to quality, style and character.
The company have identified a need for a Payment Clerk / Commercial Assistant to assist in the commercial department of this very busy company.
Role & Responsibilities
Data entry of invoices onto the in house computer system in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure all payments are covered by an official order and that details of applications accord with such orders
Maintain reconciliation reports with suppliers
Process in-coming post, prioritising urgent matters where appropriate
Handle telephone enquiries concerning payments
Maintain an accurate and efficient filing and archive system.
Photocopying, as required.
Create list of cost reserves for CV model as required.
Health and Safety
Ensure you have read the Company's health and safety policies and procedures observe them at all times.
Reporting any accidents or near misses immediately to your Manager and record them in the accident book.
Ensure your workplace is kept tidy and any hazards are eliminated or reported to your line manager.
Wear appropriate protective clothing on site at all times.
Attends all health and safety training as required by the Company.
Experience working in a similar environment within a commercial department
Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
Excellent analytical skills and organisation
Good Maths and IT skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work to high degree of accuracy
