We are looking to recruit a Portfolio Manager for a Social Housing Contract based in Birmingham, City Centre, B18. Our Client is a National Social Housing Contractor looking for a reliable and experienced Portfolio Manager for their busy office in Birmingham.
Our Client is one of the leading providers of repairs and maintenance services and refurbishment programmes to the social housing sector. The Client operates nationally with contracts all over the UK from Scotland to Cornwall to the South Kent coast.
Reporting to the Branch Manager - your key objective is to manage a temporary accommodation portfolio comprising of a variety of contracted housing management services through registered providers.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting in tenancy management, tenancy sustainment, income management, new property acquisitions, ensuring properties are in good condition with health and safety risks are identified and corrected
Provide a responsible, professional and responsive management service Take individual responsibility for resolving service request/demands Signing up tenants on ASTs and licences Develop partnership working with support agencies Signpost and arrange support to vulnerable tenants Sustain tenancies Signpost and help tenants to maximise income and to reduce rent arrears Undertake formal action to recover arrears/bad debts Maintain and update tenant profile data Inspect tenanted properties as per contracted frequency Inspect internal/external communal areas of residential blocks Deal with tenancy breaches Deal with tenant and landlord queries and complaints Arrange and attend evictions Improve the quality of life of tenants Meet set business objectives, targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) Take personal responsibility for ensuring your own health and safety and identifying risks within your portfolio Responsible for correcting service failures and responding to formal complaints from customers.

Experience of temporary accommodation Experience of working in housing management within the public and private sectors Experience of lettings market
