My client specialise in the design and installation of Swimming Pools UK wide who have a requirement for a Project Engineer to join their growing business based in Stockport.
The company provide innovative products and professional technical services for the swimming pool industries. Their services include the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and refurbishment and maintenance of swimming pools/water features. Sectors they cover include the public sector and local authorities, private health and fitness chains, hospitals, schools, hotels and water authorities.
As a Project Engineer you will be reporting to the Operations Director and will be responsible for managing 2-3 project at any one time. You will predominantly be office based but will be required to travel to projects for client meetings.
" To manage major project installations from design phase through to completion. " Procurement of all materials, hire equipment and sub-contract packages required for the project. Negotiation with supply chain. " Programming of resources and co-ordination with the principal contractor and other trades. " Full financial control of projects, including monthly interim applications, cash flow forecasts and margin forecasts. " Recording and processing any variations to project scope of works. " Regular visits to site for progress reviews with site engineers. Reporting to Operations Director. " Regular meetings with principal contractor on progress, programme and resources. " Responsible for H&S on projects, including method statements, risk assessments, H&S plans etc.
Skills & Experience
Knowledge of swimming engineering systems will be highly advantageous and candidates with mechanical engineering or building services qualifications would be carefully considered.
" Previous experience working on the installation/commissioning/refurbishments of swimming pools in commercial properties " CSCS Card certification. " 5 day SMSTS certification. " Microsoft Project software (or similar) experience " AutoCAD experience " Pool Plant Operator trained (advantageous)
In return for your skills my client offer a salary of £30-35k, car allowance, pension, mileage expenses, overtime, profit sharing scheme and 20 days holidays (increases by 1 day per year to a maximum of 30 days) plus bank holidays.
