My client are a national contractor specialise in regeneration and building new communities UK Wide.
Owing to the award of a new project they are looking to recruit and experienced Project Manager to run a £12m new build Extra Care Facility and 12 Bungalows on the Wirral. The project will be 4 storey and a mix of steel frame, masonry and traditional build construction.
As a Project Manager you will be leading a team of Managers and Finishing Foreman to deliver the project from pre construction stages through to completion and handover.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager your duties will include (but not limited to):
" Co-ordinate all on-site activities and ensure that efficient methods of working are adopted " Read and understand specification, Drawings, Preliminaries, Preambles and Contract Documentation " Monitor and ensure effective site team effort (including clear delegation of responsibility and authority to each member of the team " Co-ordination of planning and programming " Requisition and manage deliveries to ensure that all materials are available when required " Ensure that materials are supplied and fixed in accordance with Contract Specification / Manufacturers Recommendations " Store all materials in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations, to minimise loss and wastage " Ensure sub-contractors are kept advised of Site requirements " Issue sub-contractor with regular short-term programme (i.e. Weekly) to ensure the planned progress is achieved " Hold regular Progress Meetings with subcontractors " Co-operate closely with design team, clients, sub-contractors and suppliers and maintain good working relationships " Attend Cost Meetings when requested and agree contribution forecast " To ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects " Fully understand the Construction Phase Plan Requirements " To obtain sub-contractors Health & Safety Policies prior to their work commencement " Obtain all Risk Assessments from contractors along with applicable Method Statements for approval prior to work commencement " Monitor labour performance and cost
Key Skills Required
The successful candidate must have previous experience delivering project from pre-construction stages through to completion on projects of a similar value. You will be a strong leader with a methodical approach, commercial acumen and a good problem solver.
