Project Manager Birmingham £Negotiable depending on experience, qualifications & skill set 40 Week Contract
The Client My Client is one of the UK's leading providers of planned and responsive maintenance services within the social housing sector. Due to managing an increased number of contracts, they are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager for their Birmingham region.
The Project This is a Social Housing internal and refurbishment contract, where they are completing external refurbishment works such as structural repairs, curtain walling installation, EWI and internal refurbishment works such as kitchen, bathroom & heating upgrades & rewires.
The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects and contracts are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the agreed scope and specification. You will take responsibility for the overview of the day-to-day running and smooth operations of all sites and site labour. You will be the point of contact and oversee all communication between the Client and the company, strictly adhering to the Health & Safety Policy and protocols.
Duties Attend Client meetings Manage contracts from implementation to practical completion Understand and define project scope, goals and deliverables to ensure the project is delivered within budget and program Oversee all Site Managers/Supervisors, taking responsibility of scope of works Complete management of direct labour and sub-contractors Maintain good working relationships with clients and site operatives Ensure all projects are ran within current legislation, to specification and compliance Ensure site Health and Safety requirements are adhered to Managing multiple contracts across the region Ensure projects have continual material supplies and the correct levels of labour/sub-contract labour to be able to perform within budget and program Ensuring all method statements and risk assessments are completed and filed Ensuring budgets and programs are met in line with original quotations
Qualifications & Experience Must possess CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid & Asbestos Awareness Must have Project Managed internal and external domestic Social Housing refurbishment projects Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications Must be able to work on own initiative and make decisions Must have good organisational skills / able to manage own workload Must be confident in Managing site teams
