National Social Housing Contractor looking for experience Project Manager to work on new build housing projects across the North West.
Experience in new build (Social & Residential) projects required of values up to £13M required.
Salary on offer of £48K - £52K plus attractive benefits package.
My client are a National Social Housing Contractor, who work closely with a number of Housing Associations and Local Authorities.
As a result of an increase in workload, they are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to work on a number of their larger scale new build housing (both social & residential) across the North West.
Type of Works/Projects
Projects include new build flats, extra-care facilities, new build social housing and new build residential works.
As a Project Manager, you will be site based working on one of the companies more larger programmes, with units within the 100's with the assistance of a Site Manager and an Assistant too when required.
Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your duties include but will not be limited to:-
To achieve production targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met
To read and understand specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation
To produce H&S and O&M on completion of projects
Requisition and management of materials/delivery
Issuing subcontractors with regular short term programmes to ensure planned progress is achieved
Attending and chairing progress meetings
To give full consideration to the tender allowances when establishing the site compound
Liaising with the design team, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to and maintain good working relationships
Attending monthly cost meetings and agree contribution forecast
To ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects
Obtaining risk assessments and method statements from contractors prior to work commencement
Safe storage and co-ordination of materials
Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
Requirements & Qualifications Needed
My client is looking for someone who is able to demonstrate a stable career background as a Project Manager. Ideally with a portfolio of works across large scale new build housing projects (from start to finish - groundwork to handover) in both public & private sector.
The successful candidate must have the following tickets:-
Trade background (preference of Joinery background);
A degree/HNC in a related subject would be advantageous
The successful candidate should have detailed knowledge of the construction industry, and be able to maintain and build Client relationships. The company also have a number of additional works at tender stage so this is a great opportunity for someone enthusiastic and driven to succeed with all their work.

In return for your skills, you will be offered a salary of £48K - £52K plus an attractive benefits package including car allowance, pension etc.
You will be contracted to sites across the North West so full clean driving licence is also essential to be progressed.
