Project Manager - New Build Social Housing Schemes
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established building maintenance contractor based in Liverpool. The company operates across social housing refurbishment works (planned, reactive & voids) as well as new build affordable housing schemes.
As a result of an increase in workload, they are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to work on 4several new build social housing sites within Liverpool.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager/ Construction Manager and will be responsible for managing and controlling the day to day site activities to meet programmes in accordance with the company policies and procedures on new build social housing developments.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your duties include but will not be limited to:-
To achieve production targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met
To read and understand specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation
To produce H&S and O&M on completion of projects
Requisition and management of materials/delivery
Issuing subcontractors with regular short term programmes to ensure planned progress is achieved
Attending and chairing progress meetings
To give full consideration to the tender allowances when establishing the site compound
Liaising with the design team, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to and maintain good working relationships
Attending monthly cost meetings and agree contribution forecast
To ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects
Obtaining risk assessments and method statements from contractors prior to work commencement
Safe storage and co-ordination of materials
Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports
To qualify for this role, it is imperative that you have previous experience working on new build housing schemes for Local Authorities and Housing Associations. You will also have a sound knowledge of Health & Safety on site and have good technical and commercial awareness. In addition, you MUST hold a relevant CSCS card, SMSTS, valid First Aid and Scaffold Appreciation certificates.
You will benefit from a competitive basic salary up to £50,000 (higher salaries can be discussed dependent on experience) plus car allowance along with a fully comprehensive company package after a qualifying period.
