National Maintenance, Refurbishment & New Build Contractor looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on contracts across the Healthcare, Education and Social Housing sector.
Running contracts across the North West using the recognised schedule of rates (PSA).
£40K upwards basic salary plus package.
A national maintenance contractor, who work in the Social Housing, Healthcare & Education sectors, running both planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment and new build contracts across the country. As a result of sustained growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor, who will split their time between the Warrington office and also sites across the North West.
The role of the Quantity Surveyor is to obtain and evaluate information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials and services for a number of designated projects / contracts.
You will be required to run contracts using recognised schedule of rates (PSA).
Preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids and tenders
Development of the procurement programme
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects
Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative
Prepare monthly valuation reports for the Management team
Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time
Value and authorise payments to subcontractors
Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements
Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers and the Client to establish project specification and requirements
Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers
Monitor the contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale
Assist in the control of individual contract budgets
Ensure all necessary contract documentation / reports are accurate and produced on time.
Key Skills & Qualification
Hold the relevant qualifications and have relevant experience within a similar role
Experience working within Hospitals using PSA Schedules of rates
Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Must be an excellent organiser with proven time management skills
Must be flexible in hours of work and travel
Hold a full UK Driving Licence
