An opportunity to join as an experienced Quantity Surveyor, based in the Nottingham area. My client specialises in joinery and developments. The company have a range of projects located all over the East Midlands, ranging from joinery packages to full renovations.

Responsibilities:

• Price bills analytically and prepare quote comparisons using estimating software
• Monitor potential enquiries
• Build relationships with Architects, and Competitors
• Maintain up to date market knowledge of labour, plant
• Report valuations to the tender team
• Maintain in house take off package for superstructures
• Develop in house systems to help fast assessment of various construction elements
• Attend tender meetings to explain take off methodology and assumptions
• Attend project and company related meetings
• Ensure company is never compromised or disadvantaged
• Assisting the training and development of trainee and assistant estimators/quantity surveyors
• Maintain and develop professional relationships with clients and subcontractors to help with future business developments
• Build relationships with external quantity surveyors, architects, and other associated individuals
• Assist in formulating bid strategy
• Prepare information for handover to the contact team
• Check tender documents
• Maintain up to date market knowledge and enquiries of materials and sub-contractors
• Complete and present tender pricing for adjunction by the tender committee
• Formulate bid strategies
• Prepare for handover on secured projects for the handover team

Benefits

The company pay very competitively, with a basic salary of up to £45,000 plus package.

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree/HNC in a related subject
• Experience in a quantity surveying role (essential)
