National M&E Contractor looking for an experience Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Based in Lancashire with projects across the UK.

An award winning full service M&E Contractor with works across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, educational and leisure projects are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
Working on a mixture of projects providing full M&E Services working alongside an established commercial team and engineers your duties will to be conduct QS services on a number of projects up to the value of £3M across the UK.
You will need to illustrate technical knowledge and previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor (preferably with an electrical bias).
With a desk based in the companies Lancashire office, you will be expected to travel 2/3 days a week away on sites across the UK - current projects are heavily based in London.
Duties - M&E Quantity Surveyor
Your duties will include but not be limited to:-
Preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids and tenders
Development of the procurement programme
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects
Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative
Prepare monthly valuation reports for the Management team
Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time
Value and authorise payments to subcontractors
Liaise with Managers to establish the project specification and requirements
Liaise with Suppliers and the Client to establish project specification and requirements
Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers
Monitor the contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale
Assist in the control of individual contract budgets
Ensure all necessary contract documentation / reports are accurate and produced on time.
Key Skills & Qualification:-
Hold the relevant qualifications
Relevant experience within a similar role
Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Must be an excellent organiser with proven time management skills
Must be flexible in hours of work and travel (although based in Lancashire, travel 2/3 days a week to nationwide sites is expected)
Hold a full UK Driving Licence
