A leading regional building contractor with a distinguished trading history, this business has been at the forefront of the Essex building industry for many years and have developed an unrivalled reputation for the quality of their delivery.
Due to growth anticipated in 2020, they currently seek an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their existing team, based from their Colchester HQ.
As part of a developed team of experienced Quantity Surveyors, you'll be responsible for the financial management of a range of general building projects across Essex and the surrounding areas, tackling a varied range of exciting, high profile projects. With experienced senior leadership in the business, you'll be offered a fantastic network of support to draw experience from, allowing for further career development.
- Preparing detailed breakdown of build costs for each stage of work - Compiling sub-contract orders, and their subsequent issuing to contractors - Carry out cost and value reconciliation on all items - Oversee spend on in-house and sub-contract labour, and material procurement - Prepare Cost Value Comparison (Profit & Loss) notes
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification. - 5 years + previous experience within general commercial contracting is highly desirable. - You'll ideally be situated locally to Colchester or within a commutable distance
