A successful and established groundworks subcontractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team to help commercially manage several projects in the region and so experience in groundworks specifically is necessary.

As a result, they are now offering a fantastic opportunity for a capable Quantity Surveyor to play a leading role in the business from a commercial standpoint and help ensure continued stability and growth.
Quantity Surveyor - The Role
This is predominantly an office-based role near Wrexham and key duties may include:
" Analyse tenders upon return to ensure compliant bids are received " Ensure sub-contractor weekly and monthly applications for payments " Prepare interim payments " Issue contra-charges as appropriate " Highlight claims for additional works outside Budget Estimate Summary " Settle all Final Accounts expediently after works complete " Carry out monthly progress checklist on site for all sites " Prepare sub-contract accruals " Produce Valuation Breakdown Reconciliation (VBR) " Carry out cost and value reconciliation on all items " Agree costs with the Accounts Department " Prepare Cost Value Comparison (Profit & Loss) notes
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will ideally be from a degree background in Quantity Surveying. It is also essential that you have previous surveying experience in small to medium valued groundworks packages, ideally on new build commercial sites.
In addition to having experience in this sector, overseeing site progression through to final accounts and administering project valuations is a core component of the role, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and payments are made and received in time and under pressure.
Suitable candidate for this role will also have excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills, be flexible in their ability to manage various commercial aspects across alternate sites, have superb communication and numeracy skills as well as being literate in contemporary IT programs and JCT/NEC forms of contract.
