The Client Our client is a one of the UK's largest family run businesses, working on a diverse range of general building projects and scaling general works up to £30m. Our Client has steadily grown a respected name for themselves throughout the national construction industry with a history of over 100 years.
The Role As part of a developed team of Quantity Surveyors, you will be responsible for the financial management of a range of general building schemes across the West Midlands and the surrounding areas, tackling a varied range of exciting and high-profile projects.
Responsibilities: " Preparing detailed breakdown of build costs for each stage of works " Compiling sub-contract orders and their subsequent issuing to Contractors " Carrying out cost and value reconciliation on all items " Overseeing spend on in-house and sub-contract labour and material procurement " Preparing Cost Value Comparison (Profit & Loss) notes
Qualifications & Experience " Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent or actively working towards this qualification " Previous experience within general commercial contracting is highly desirable. " You will ideally be situated along the M5 corridor with easy access to the Midlands " You must have an excellent understanding of the Midlands region geographically " You must have an excellent understanding of the Construction industry
