Looking to strengthen their Architectural Team, an exciting vacancy for an experienced Senior Designer has arisen to take the reins managing and assisting on all aspects of Architectural Design and ensuring they are to the required standards, ranging from client lead to contract administration. With authority across interior, education, health, residential and general commercial projects, this is an exciting post that will offer a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Be the authority for Architectural Designer matters (Conceptual, Technical and Compliance) - Assist in the development and delivery of new processes for the studio - Lead on introducing more efficient and joined up projects and processes - Lead conversations with clients Architectural Designer matters - Ensuring projects are completed on budget and to schedule - Preparing scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works - Prepare and present feasibility reports, and high quality design proposals to the client - Work around constraining factors such as planning legislation, building regulations, environmental impact and project budget - Prepare applications for planning and building control - Produce BIM compliant working drawings and specifications - Choose materials to be used and the requirements for the project, based on site and environmental criteria - React and resolve issues which arise during the pre-design/design construction/post construction stages of a project - Contract Administration
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in related profession, ie. Architecture - Minimum 7 years previous experience within a practice or contracting environment - RIBA - CIAT - Previous managerial experience within a pre-contract function
