Purpose of Post and Objectives:
To be responsible for all commercial and contractual aspects of projects/partnerships. To maintain profitability and positive cash position of all projects. Developing and maintaining client relationships.
Project Procurement - Pricing projects to agreed timescales & margins in conjunction with other team members.
Resource Procurement - Collation & preparation of suitable resource procurement schedule, subcontract enquiries, evaluation of sub contract prices, chairing Sub contractor post tender & pre order meetings, drafting subcontractor orders, financial management of subcontractors up to and including agreement of final accounts, resolving any disputes with subcontractors.
Financial Control - Development of and monitoring accurate cost to complete and final account forecasts, timely & accurate production of cost and value reports, cash flow management, valuation procedure including timely submission, agreement & payment, accurate valuation & payment of subcontractors, valuation & payment of directly employed team.
Strategic Management - Encourage best practice. Train and encourage other team members, provide regular & effective communication with client and partners teams, highlight and proactively manage known risks.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have significant experience in the following areas:
At least 5 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying role
Relevant qualifications or proven experience on refurbishment contracts & housing projects
To assist and contribute to;
The maximisation of profit & cash levels at all times
Managing & reducing risks to the business
Produce timely, accurate and consistent financial reports
To be an integral part of the commercial team in support of the Managing Quantity Surveyor together with other Senior Quantity Surveyors.
To act as an ambassador for the business, enhancing our reputation by efficient communication and professional actions.
Key Success Factors
