One of the leading national house builders have a requirement for an experienced Site Manager to join their North West team for a development based in Cheshire.
The company are an award winning developer who build a wide range of properties, from one- and two-bedroom apartments to five bedroom detached houses, with a broad price range including both private and affordable homes.
They are looking for a Site Manager for a large development with over 300 units based in Crewe. The development has a new phase starting in the New Year, hence the reason why they are looking for an experienced Site Manager. The development consists of 2, 3 4 and 5 bed homes.
Reporting to a Contracts Manager you will be responsible for making sure that construction is completed within agreed timelines, cost parameters, safely and to our customers' satisfaction. You will efficiently manage the field operations including controlling sub-contractors day-to-day operations and ensuring that material supplies are available. Duties to include:
" Assist the Construction Director to ensure the site programme meets budget and commercial objectives. " Develop a build specific programme for residential housing sites " Complete weekly management reports detailing progress against planned milestones " Assist in the production of the pre start health and safety plan and update and develop as the site progresses " Liaise with the materials controller on a daily basis to ensure material deliveries are in accordance with the build programme " Work with the Sales Executives, buying department and sub-contractors regarding the supply and installation of customer choices. " Plan and arrange visits by the National House Builders Council to carry out stage inspections.
Skills and experience required
The successful Site Manager will demonstrate strong project management skills with detailed building and construction experience. We also need someone with the ability to manage people and create a strong team spirit on site
" You will have knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation " Ability to plan and make decisions with a customer focus and business awareness. " You will be passionate about managing people " Ability to manage and track costs " A trade background is desirable but not essential " CSCS Manager Card " First Aid qualified " SMSTS
